MICROGREEN CARE
Keep your greens crisp and fresh
That's some great advice for keeping microgreens fresh! Proper storage and handling can really make a difference in preserving their flavor and nutritional value. It's also fascinating how they're grown in such controlled environments, which contributes to their cleanliness and freshness. Plus, keeping an eye on them daily is a good habit to ensure they're enjoyed at their peak. Thanks for sharing these tips!
Once you take home your microgreens what do you do next?

To properly care for your microgreens on the countertop:
Placement: Leave the box of microgreens on your countertop, ensuring it's not in direct sunlight or under a ceiling fan. These conditions can quickly dry out the microgreens.
- Check Moisture: Every 2 days, check the grow pad to see if it's still moist. If it's dry, spray the pad to keep it moist. This will help keep the microgreens hydrated and fresh.
By following these steps, you can ensure your microgreens stay fresh and vibrant on the countertop.

To properly store your microgreens in the refrigerator:
Placement: Put the box of microgreens in your refrigerator. Ensure it’s not directly in the path of the cold air coming out of the blower to prevent freezing.
- Check Moisture: Every 3-4 days, inspect the grow pad to see if it's still moist. If it's dry, follow the watering steps outlined in method (1) above.
- Condensation: It's normal to see condensation on the leaves when stored in the refrigerator. However, if there's excessive water on the leaves, consider placing them on your countertop instead. Too much moisture can cause premature spoilage.
By following these steps, you can maintain the freshness of your microgreens for longer periods.

Cut and Store in a Refrigerator
That's a great tip for keeping microgreens fresh longer! Proper storage can indeed make a big difference in extending their shelf life. It's amazing how something as simple as leaving them out for a bit can help prevent premature decay. Plus, having them readily available in the fridge makes it convenient to add them to meals whenever you want.
Store your cut microgreens in airtight containers or resealable plastic bags with a dried paper towel. Make sure to remove any excess moisture using paper towels before sealing the container or bag. Excess moisture can lead to mold growth.
Check your microgreens regularly for any signs of wilting, mold, or decay. Remove any damaged or spoiled greens immediately to prevent them from affecting the rest.
